Hello! Well, another Thanksgiving has come and gone. It seems like it should still be summer. It snowed here a couple days ago, which I must say I wasn’t overly happy about. Snow is pretty when it’s falling, but once it starts staying on the ground it’s just depressing because it turns into an ugly slushy mess, and it inhibits travel, etc. OK, enough whining about that.

I’m feeling slightly craptacular today because it’s “black Friday”, and there’s hardly anything in my Hot Pink Flamingo boutique for people to buy. I had hoped by this time to have had a good amount of stock in the boutique, and the holiday shopping season would really help to jump start things. I guess it’s not too late, though.

The web design business has picked up some, so I’m really happy about that. If you know anyone that could use those services, pleeeease refer them to me. I’ll be your best friend!

Well, enough messing around, it’s time for me to face the day and get something accomplished. I’m having a heck of a time getting motivated to do anything today! Maybe I’ll go get another cup of coffee……

Hello! Does anyone come here? I sort of feel like I’m just talking (or typing) to myself. Not that I’ve written anything profound that would make people want to visit hehe. Well, I’ve officially opened the Hot Pink Flamingo boutique at www.boutique.hotpinkflamingo.net. The selection is currently pretty limited, but I should be adding lots more very soon. Please pass the word!

I’ve really got to get this domain organized; it’s a mess right now. I realize that the web services link in the menu doesn’t currently go to a page about web services – that will point to my new web design mini-site shortly. I plan to make this very site a subdomain (heather.hotpink…..), and have the main domain page be a menu for the different sub-sites. Did that make sense?

I’ve been neglecting my No Doubt site again (greenerpastures.us); I’m feeling guilty about that. All signs point to No Doubt releasing another album fairly soon, so I’ve really got to get the site moving to support them….

Just wanted to brag a little bit – I’ve quit smoking! I didn’t write down the exact day I stopped, but it’s been about a month now I think! I cheated once or twice a day the first few days, but nothing after that! I still crave them just about daily at one point or another – especially when I’m mad or stressed. But I haven’t caved.

This is a pretty big deal for me, because I’ve been wanting to quit for years, but could never manage to make it past a day or two without wanting to strangle someone – so I’d go buy some cigs to get out of that mood…. But I think this time I’ve actually done it!

I’d been smoking for about half of my life – since I was 14 or so, so it feels strange not to smoke. I’m kind of a punk trapped in “the Man’s” world, and smoking was always the little bit of rebellion I could get away with in life. So now that I’ve quit I have no evil hobbies, and feel like a bit of a wuss hehe. Wish I could find a better way to word all this, but I’m sitting at my desk at work listening for others to come around the corner so I’m being a little “short”. I’m really not trying to say that if you don’t smoke, you’re a wuss. Smoking is gross, it makes you stink, it makes your teeth yellow, it makes your face wrinkly, and most importantly, it makes you DIE.
I’ll just have to find a replacement evil hobby. Hopefully one less lame than posting on my web site when I’m supposed to be working hehe. I’m now taking suggestions for a new evil hobby, so feel free to comment…..

I’ve decided to open an online boutique again (in addition to my web design business). I’m going to be selling jewelry, clothing, makeup, shoes, and accessories, etc. At least, that’s what I plan to sell. If I can just make up my mind and stick to it, I may just make some progress. I’m starting with an eBay store, and will be opening my own web store shortly. Please check out my eBay store!

I’m debating over whether to use this domain just for my web design business again. I know it would make it more professional and “cleaner”, but I just don’t wanna!! Not that I have much on here right now, anyway…. Maybe I should make a subdomain for the personal stuff?
